This morning, Torontoist enthused about their city’s transformation of drab phone boxes into cheery graf murals by local artists. We took a look through the site of Style In Progress, the company that coordinates the painting, and fell particularly in love with the work of Norman Yeung, aka Stage. His phone boxes are sparsely illustrated scenes over top of abstracted blocks of colour — much more restrained than your average more-is-more graf muralist:

But while Stage was probably our favourite contributor to the project, there was something about this one that just made us completely and perfectly happy:

Yeah, Norman’s been doing great work for a long time. We actually used one of his paintings as the cover of our book. Very cool to see him involved in a project like this.
